We Got Married!!!

I really have nothing to say at this time except... we did it! I'll be posting much more on the wedding when more photos come available and I get the time to sit and write about it. Please keep coming back to see the updates!

Semesters at KVCC

I'm trying to keep up with updating this site with details and links to all the things I have done at KVCC, but am finding that it's just too much to keep track of. =] What started out as a good dream, ended up to be just that... a dream. So, unfortunately I won't have anything prepared for the Fall 2004 Semester for you guys to take a look at, but you can still view the stuff from Summer 2003.

Summer 2003

K-zoo Valley Community College

At last I have found an educational institution that I can appreciate. After countless tries at both at home programs as well as four year degree schools, I tried Kalamazoo Valley Community College located in, you guessed it, Kalamazoo, MI. I started out in January 2003 for the Winter Term after locating a panflet listing Associates of Applied Science - Web Master as one of their degrees. I had been searching all over for this degree, and could not find it. Well, one thing led to another and I finished off my first semester with four 4.0's.

I struggled for a long time in the begging having come down with mononucleosis, but recovered from missing roughly a month's worth of classes to pick up all of my grades and finish each one with a 4.0. Boy does it feel good after trying so many other means of education. It just goes to show you that there is no need to settle on an education just because you think you should be in school. Don't waste the money and it will happen when it happens.

say web design -
"the best way to say it on the web."

It all started when I was asked to update the Department of Accountancy web site (my design has now been replaced by their current secretary - bummer!) by my then employer. I had never even touched a web site other than to surf them on the internet. So I took a few classes and read a few manuals, and here I am. I currently have up and running 10 sites - including my own. To see more information on my web designing or to visit the sites that I have running, just visit the SAY Web Design Official Company Site - after all, it is "The Best Way To SAY It On The Web".

mackinac bridge walk

For my fourth (4th) year in a row I did the Mackinac Bridge Walk in Mackinac, MI. Curt and his brother have done the walk for as long as he can remember, and the year we met, he invited me with him.I've been going back ever since. The bridge itself is five (5) miles long, but the walk total is about 7 miles after you add the distance to the bridge and off of the bridge.

This year was my best ever beating all the others in my group (Curt, his brother Matt and Matt's girlfriend Robyn) time wise. So what if Curt didn't feel well, Robyn gets motion sickness so she took Dramamine (which had the wonderful side-effect of making her drowsy) and Matt's calves gave out on him early on . . . I still did good! =]

If you've never taken part in this wonderful Michigan tradition, I truly suggest you do so. I personally think it is a definite must-experience for a Michigander.
